Samba (Telugu: సాంబ) is a 2004 Telugu film directed by V.V. Vinayak. The movie stars Jr. NTR, Bhoomika Chawla, Genelia D'Souza, and Prakash Raj. The movie deals with how important education is to kids.
STORY
Dharmayya Naidu (Vijayakumar) a underworld kingpin who lost his wife because he is uneducated. Hence he wants to felicitate education in his seema area by constructing schools. He realizes that the quarry he owns has good quality granite deposits. Sambashiva Naidu (NTR) is the son of Dharmayya Naidu. Prakash (Harikrishna) is the son-in-law of Dharmayya Naidu. Pasupathy plays the game in such a way that Dharmayya Naidu is forced to give granite quarry as a dowry to Prakash's family, due to which Dharmayya Naidu's daughter commits suicide. When Samba comes to know the reason behind his sister's suicide, he occupies the quarry and kills the brothers of Prakash. Prakash kills everybody in the house of Samba in retaliation. Samba and his nemesis Prakash take shelter in Kanchi and Guwhati respectively as police ban them from entering AP for a year. Samba settles as a saree manufacturer and trader in Kanchi (Tamil Nadu). The rest of the story is all about how he returns to Seema and takes vengeance against Prakash and then starts serving in educational field.
Orange (Telugu: ఆరంజ్) is a 2010 Telugu romantic comedy film directed by Bhaskar, in his third venture after Bommarillu and Parugu. The film features Ram Charan Teja and Genelia D'Souza with Shazahn Padamsee playing a pivotal role. The film, which has music composed by Harris Jayaraj, began the first schedule in February 2010, and was released on November 26, 2010. This film was an average grosser, but was critically successful.
Set on the backdrop of Australia, the film opens with an angry Ram (Ram Charan Teja), who just broke up with his girlfriend, narrating the story of his love life to a police officer, Abhishek Verma (Prakash Raj) as he defaces a graffiti of his lover while her father (Prabhu Ganesan) listens. Ramm is introduced to be an youngster who loves graffiti and doesn’t believe in everlasting love. He has gone through 9 loves in his life, and thinks that love between two people eventually dies out. As a person with strong morals, he is honest and wants to love life and live with open mind, open thought and open action with his lover. Jaanu (Genelia D'Souza) studies in the same college as Ram. He falls in love with her at first sight and goes onto wooing her. She eventually ends up falling for him, but wants him to promise to love her forever. Ram, of course, nonchalantly dismisses this and explains how he cannot love her forever. This leads to a clash of their ideologies. Ram shows Jaanu how even true love stales after a while and true love cannot stay forever, while Jaanu shows him examples of everlasting love, like her friends and her parents. However he makes it clear that love between two people is never the same as it first is. Abhishek makes Ram tell him why he feels like this, and Ram explains another love in his life, Rooba (Shazahn Padamsee). He falls in love with her as she visits Hyderabad when Ram is on a foreign exchange project. He follows her to Mumbai and they both fall in love. However as time passes, the couple faces problems and Ram feels himself lying more and more just to make Rooba happy. Unable to take it anymore, he tells her that he cannot continue loving her if he has to lie and sacrifice so much for her. They break up, and through the experience Ram becomes the man he is.
Bommarillu (Telugu: బొమ్మరిల్లు, English: A Dollhouse) is a 2006 Telugu romantic comedy film directed and co-written by Bhaskar, and produced by Dil Raju. The two leading roles were played by Siddharth Narayan and Genelia D'Souza. The other two significant parts, the parents of one of the leading characters, were played by Prakash Raj and Jayasudha. Following the film's box office success it was remade as the Tamil film Santosh Subramaniam (2008), the Bengali film Bhalobasa Bhalobasa (2008) and the Oriya film Dream Girl (2009). The film primarily revolves around the relationship between a father and son, in which the father's excessive concern for his son, and interference in his life, has led to the latter feeling some bitterness towards his overbearing father. The film opened to Indian audiences on 9 August 2006. On its way to winning accolades and rave reviews, the film went on to win the South Filmfare Awards among other prominent awards. The film's success broke several records at the box office during its prime and is one of the highest grossing Telugu films till date.
STORY
The film begins with a baby taking his initial steps on a beach supported by his father. The narrator in the background (Murali Mohan) states that, it is right for a father to support his child in his infancy, but questions whether the father should continue to hold the child's hand even after he is 24 years old. As the credits roll, a visibly angry Siddhu (Siddharth) begins uttering abuses at all the fathers in the world. When queried about his disgust, he says that his father, Aravind (Prakash Raj), gives him more than what he asks for. He cites instances where his choices of dressing, hairstyle, and many others are overruled by his father's. However, he vows that his career and the woman he marries will be his own choices. Post-credits, Satti (Sunil), the Aravind household's dutiful servant wakes up Siddhu in the morning. In the background, Siddhu's mother, Lakshmi (Jayasudha), is seen singing a devotional Telugu song while cooking. At the dining table, Aravind, Managing Director of their construction company, asks if Siddhu will join their office for managing their business. When Siddhu deliberates, his father becomes impatient and instead plans for his marriage despite Siddhu's silent protest. The next week, Siddhu returns home to realize that he is going to get engaged to Subbulakshmi (Neha) against his wishes. He speaks with her only to realize that she is a daddy's girl (Tanikella Bharani being the father) and she not being to his liking. However, with Aravind's final say, they eventually get engaged. While contemplating on his options in a temple, Siddhu accidentally meets Hasini (Genelia D'Souza), an engineering student. Siddhu is attracted by her cheerful nature and energy, and the couple begin to meet on a regular basis. As the days go by, Siddhu grows to admire the ever-friendly Hasini as someone who does what she loves, and he discovers many small things which make him happy to be in her company; he realizes that he has fallen in love with her. Alongside this, Siddhu applies for a bank loan to start out on his dream of building his career. When his love for Hasini deepens, he wishes to propose to her. He confesses to her that he is engaged to get married to Subbulakshmi against his wishes, but what he really wants is her. On knowing of him being engaged, Hasini gets dejected, but comes back a day later and asks him to do what he wishes for and accepts his proposal. At this juncture, the ecstatic Siddhu is seen by a furious Arvind. Siddhu is admonished back home and he expresses his disinterest in marriage with Subbulakshmi. When asked for his reason to like Hasini, Siddhu replies saying that if Hasini can stay with their family for a week, then all their questions shall be answered. He convinces Hasini to stay at his house after lying to her father, Kanaka Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao)that she is going on a college tour. When Hasini is introduced to Siddhu's family, she gets a lukewarm welcome. As she settles down in the house, one after the other begins to like her. Even though getting used to the living habits of the authoritarian Arvind's household was difficult, Hasini stayed put for Siddhu's sake. In the meanwhile, Arvind reprimands Siddhu when he knows of his bank loan and his plans, only to further enrage Siddhu. One day the entire family along with Hasini attends a marriage ceremony. A cheerful Hasini cheers up the ceremony with her playful nature. Coincidentally, Kanaka Rao who happens to be around, recognizes Siddhu as the drunken young man whom he encountered on an earlier occasion. Hasini realizes her father's presence and quickly exits to avoid his attention. After saving their grace, Siddhu admonishes Hasini for her antics at the marriage. A sad and angry Hasini moves out of the house saying that she does not find Siddhu the same and that she cannot put on an act if she stays in their house. After getting back to her house, she rebuilds the trust her father has in her while Siddhu is left forlorn. Lakshmi confronts Arvind on Siddhu's choices and wants. In the process, Siddhu opens up his heart and leaving Arvind to repent on his foolishness. Siddhu requests Subbulakshmi and her parents to call off the impending marriage. While they relent, Arvind manages to convince Kanaka Rao about Siddhu and Hasini's marriage. In return, Kanaka Rao disagrees to get the two lovers married, and aravid proposes the idea of packing siddhu to their house for a week and the story returns to the pre-credits scene, the viewers are left to assume about the happy marriage of the protagonists.
Happy (Telugu: హ్యాపీ) is a 2006 Indian romance film directed by A. Karunakaran. The film stars Allu Arjun, Genelia D'Souza and Manoj Bajpai in lead roles; music was scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film was produced by Allu Aravind and released on 27 January 2006. Upon release, the film was dubbed into Malayalam and released with the title Happy be Happy. The Telugu version was moderately successful at the box office whereas the Malayalam version was a smash hit collecting Rs 4.22 lakhs in its opening week at Ernakulam. The film was remade in Bengali under the title Bolo Na Tumi Amar starring Dev and Koyel and in Oriya under the title Loafer starring Babushan and Archita Sahu.
STORY
Madhumati (Genelia D'Souza) is the daughter of a politician who turns out to be a martinet at home with his attachment on power. He affirms that the behavior of his daughter would influence his caste politics. Hence he tries to keep her from continuing her MBBS as she goes to college and moves with friends of different mentalities. However, Madhumathi, comes to third year of medicine by maintaining her dignity and without involving in any affairs of love. Her focus is completely on studies. Once, she goes for a medical camp along with her class mates to Araku. She meets Bunny (Allu Arjun) randomly in the woods nearby the medical camp. The story starts with his funny and playful encounters with Madhumathi. Bunny comes to Hyderabad and joins in a pizza shop as a delivery boy and continues his MBA by attending evening classes. In an incident, Madhumathi’s father thinks that his daughter is dating someone and comes to believe that its none other than Bunny . He decides to get her married to a person of his own caste who settled in a top position: Manoj Bajpai, the deputy commissioner of police. Madhumati is more attached to her studies than marriage. She goes to Bunny and places the blame on him saying that he would be the reason for her suicide should she be forcibly married. Knowing that, Bunny plans to stop the marriage and meets the DCP. Bunny lies to him and convinces the DCP that he is in love with Madhumathi. But Bunny gets caught in his own white lie. Manoj Bajpai believes Bunny’s words and gets him married to Madhumathi in a registered marriage. He also gives his new flat for the couple to live in. Madhumathi becomes estranged from her family and, in another series of events, ends up living with Bunny (or rather Bunny ends up living with her). Throughout their times together, mishaps and comedic events happen; Bunny ends up falling for Madhumati. Being separated from her family Madhumati has no way of paying for fees and one day expresses this to Bunny. Bunny gets into film industry as a stuntman taking high risk to his life to pay the semester fees of Madhumathi’s MBBS. Madhumathi scores low in a subject and gets a negative feedback from her professor. To focus on her studies, she scorns Bunny and drives him out of the house. Madhumathi then focuses on her studies and achieves her MBBS diploma with honors. On the day of her graduation she admits to her friend that she is indeed in love with Bunny. Her friend reveals that Bunny risked his life to pay her college tuition by doing dangerous stunts. He told her not to tell Madhumathi, and he is going back to Vizag that day. With regret, Madhumati tries to reconcile with Bunny and goes to meet him at the train station. On the way there she gets caught by a road block set up by a policeman who is her father's archnemesis. As she was giving a lift to a sex worker (she didn't know at the time), she is jailed under prostitution charge. Soon her father is arrested as he storms the station and slaps the police who arrested her in a rage of fury. She manages to contact Bunny with a cell phone provided by one of the prostitutes, and Bunny comes to the station. Bunny also had an incident with the policeman who arrested Madhumati as he once berated him in public for smoking by a gas station. Bunny becomes enraged and begins to fight with the police. As he is about to deliver a finishing blow, the DCP who was transferred by Madhumati's father in contempt of him refusing Madhumati's hand in marriage comes back just in time and stops Bunny. He says he'll take care of everything and Bunny and Madhumati leave.
Ready is a 2008 Telugu film directed by Srinu Vytla. It is produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore under the Sravanthi Movies banner. The movie features Ram, Genelia D'Souza, Tanikella Bharani, Nassar, Sunil, Chandra Mohan, Brahmanandam and Jaya Prakash Reddy in the prominent roles. The movie was a run away hit and also was a major grosser in 2008. Navdeep and Tamanna made Guest Appearance. The music of the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. It was remade in Kannada as Raam by Puneeth Rajkumar and was a run away hit. It was remade in Tamil as Uthama Puthiran with Dhanush & Genelia D'Souza in the lead and was a success there too though a few controversies rose due to some scenes. It was also remade in Hindi under the same name with Salman Khan and Asin in the lead as "Ready" and was a high-grossing blockbuster as well.
Dhee (Telugu: ఢీ) is a Telugu movie starring Vishnu Vardhan Babu and Genelia D'Souza. It was directed and produced by Srinu Vytla. The film released on 13 April 2007 and turned out to be a super hit. The Hindi remake starring Sanjay Dutt is in production.
STORY
Babloo (Vishnu Manchu) likes to have fun and is always getting in trouble. So his father Narayana (Chandra Mohan) gets him a job with Shanker Goud (Srihari). Shanker Goud and Bhallu are rivals and Bhallu is determined to kill Shanker Goud's sister Pooja (Genelia D'Souza). Babloo falls in love with Pooja but Shanker is planning an arranged marriage for her with Ajay (Akash). Babloo and Pooja elope to get married. The rest of the story deals with how Babloo saves Pooja from Bhallu.

This is his third film after the success of both Student No.1 and Simhadri. This film has a rugby union backdrop. Nitin Kumar Reddy and Genelia D'Souza play the lead roles.
STORY
Prithvi (Nitin) & Shashank (Shashank) are the leaders of two warring students groups in a Hyderabad college. They are fond of rugby union game and they sort the things out between them by playing rugby to prove superiority. One fine day, a local mafia leader Bhikshu Yadav (Pradeep Rawat) gets a court notice that he has purchased the land of college from its legal heirs. The groups of Prithvi and Sashank unite together by forgetting differences to fight a united cause of winning back the land for college. After getting affected by assaults of students, Bhikshu Yadav throws a challenge to defeat his team in a game of rugby union to win back the land for their college. The rest of the story is all about how Prithvi leads his team to the victory.
