The film is a remake of the successful hindi film Love Aaj Kal, with Pawan Kalyan, Trisha Krishnan and Kriti Kharbanda playing the lead roles. The film's music is composed by Mani Sharma. The film portrays the feeling of pure love which never changes, although the perspective of realizing one's soulmate has changed over time. Annavaram

Movie released on 29 December 2006, proved to be an above average grosser at the box office. The soundtrack of the film, released on 14 December 2006, received a good response. It is a remake of the Tamil film Thirupaachi, which starred Joseph Vijay and Trisha Krishnan. Annavaram (Pawan Kalyan) has a lot of attachment with his sister Varam (Sandhya). He wants to see his sister trouble free even after marriage and hence wanted to get her married to a city guy who has all the facilities like mixie, grinder, gas stove, running water and such facilities. True to his taste, Annavaram marries Varam to a guy (Shiva Balaji) who stays in Hyderabad. In order to leave her at her husband's place, Annavaram drops Varam in Hyderabad. Aishwarya (Asin Thottumkal) is the neighbour of Varam's husband who is chirpy and moves very close with everyone without any inhibition. During his stay, Annavaram finds that the city is full of goons and his brother-in-law pacifies him not to take everything to head and one should have the adjustment mentality to stay in the city. The city is ruled by two big goons called Ranbir Raj Balu (Ashish Vidyarthi) and Puranapool Ganga (Lal). Unable to digest the situation, Annavaram returns to his village along with his close friend Narasimha (Venu Madhav). After a few months, Varam turns pregnant and Pandu's brother Gutkha Pandu threatens Varam's husband and takes away the canteen being run by him in a college. Varam gets frightened at the attack. Meanwhile, Narasimha gets Visa to fly to Dubai to work there. To see him off at the airport, Annavaram reaches Hyderabad again. Narasimha, Annavaram, Varam and her husband go to Golconda to see the fort, where Narasimha gets killed by Ganga. Varam and her husband reach the village to take part in the funeral of Narasimha. Annavaram detains his sister and brother in law in the village, but he leaves the village stating that he got a job. He reaches Hyderabad. He dares Tapas Balu and kills 20 of his men along with a corrupt police officer (Ravi Babu). He even calls up the ACP J.D. Yadav (Nagendra Babu) that he would do the duty of the police as they were handcuffed with political pressures and can't take action against the goons. At this juncture, Annavaram meets his old friend Sairam (Brahmaji) and with his help gets the details of all the goons and decide to eliminate all of them. To bail out from the crisis, Tapas Balu kidnaps ACP's daughter Sanjana. Annavaram attacks Balu and kills him and saves her. Then he targets Ganga's brother Pandu and kills him. Next is the turn of Ganga. Like this, he eliminates all the goons and makes Hyderabad a clean city sans any goondas by the time Varam delivers a baby boy. The film ends on a happy note with the union of Annavaram and Aishwarya.

Bangaram(pavan kalyan) is a reporter at a news channel. he dreams of getting into an international news channel of BBC. On his own dream he ends at Peddi Reddy(Mukesh Rishi) who is an factionest. he needs his signature to get his dream full filled but before that he gets entangled with Peddi"s daughter Sandhya(meera chopra)and Vindhya(Sanusha). later Bhooma Reddy(Ashutosh Rana) wins over Peddi's heart and is able to convince him to marry Sandhya to him. but Sandhya has already got her own love story with Vinay(Raja). Bangaram feeling guilty about foiling Sandhya's escape plan and mean looks of vindhya, he finally helps her by taking her to the city. but then the villains are not to far behind. later vinay also losses contact in a bomb blast. then Bangaram is able to find Vinay with the help of a driver(Raghu babu) and his company. but just then Bhooma kidnaps Vindhya(who just turns 18) and blackmails Bangaram that he will marry her if Sandhya is not returned. but he later goes to Bhoooma and able to save Vindhya and kill Bhooma which forms the climax. In the end it is reveled that, Bangaram finds his own love( Trisha Krishnan ) in a train journey.

Balu

Movie released on 6 January 2005 and was directed by A. Karunakaran. This film stars Pawan Kalyan, Shriya, and Neha Oberoi. The film was produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under his production company Vyjayanthi Movies. The movie was a good grosser at the box office; it ran for 100 days successfully in 8 theaters in Andhra Pradesh. Ghani (Pawan) is an orphan raised by Delhi’s new don – Khan (Gulshan Grover) who is also from Hyderabad. He turns into Khan’s henchman committing all the crimes his boss wants, until one day when he refuses to kill a man. The reason behind his decision leads to a sub plot. Khan plans to eliminate Ghani for his betrayal, but his plan is unsuccessful and it leaves the hero with a mere wound, while the girl Indu gets killed in the combat. The next episode opens in Hyderabad, where Pawan Kalyan christens himself as Balu, the name his dead lover used to call him. He is on a mission to eliminate the local mafia head Nayudamma, who has control over the land.

Gudumba Shankar

A goonda Kumaraswamy (Ashish) wants to marry Gowri forcibly, which is why she runs away from the home. Kumar Rathore finds out Gowri and takes her back to the house. Kumaraswamy is extremely superstitious and he heavily depends on the astrology of Parabrahma Swamy. Shankar blackmails Parabrahma Swamy and joins the wedding house as the wedding planner along with Ali and two other buddies. Shankar tricks Kumara Swamy so that he could marry Gowri.

Johnny

Johnny is a Tollywood film released on 26 April 2003, written and directed by Pawan Kalyan. Kalyan also starred in the film, along with Renu Desai. Johnny(Pawan Kalyan) loses his mother when he was a kid. After his mother dies, Johnny runs away from his father(Raghuvaran) as he is a chain smoker, a drinker, and doesn't care for his son. Years later, Johnny becomes a martial arts coach. One day, a girl named Geeta (Renu Desai) lodges a complaint on Johnny for beating up a man. Later, Geeta comes to know that it was a misunderstanding. After Geeta apologizes, both become friends and eventually get married. A while after the marriage, Johnny finds out that his wife has cancer. Borrowing all money he can from his friends, he moves to Mumbai but he is still short of the money needed to treat his wife's cancer. That's when Johnny comes to know through a stranger that there are boxing fights everyday. At first, Johnny refuses the offer but as soon as he sees the terrible condition of his wife, he accepts the offer and goes through boxing competitions to raise money. Geeta's condition deteriorates to a point that Johnny needs 2 lakhs overnight. The owner of the boxing fights makes a deal with Johnny that he must fight two professional martial artists to get 2 lakhs overnight. The rest is how he defeats them.

Movie released on released on 27 April 2001 and was directed by S.J. Suryah. Pawan Kalyan, Bhoomika Chawla and Sivaji paired up for the first time in this film. The music composed by Mani Sharma was a huge hit. Kushi is one of the most successful film starring Pawan Kalyan. Kushi is a remake of 2000 Superhit Tamil film of the same name which starred Vijay and Jyothika in the lead roles. The film opens when Madhumati or "Madhu" (Bhoomika Chawla) and Siddartha Roy or "Siddhu" (Pawan Kalyan) are born. Madhu's family is based in Konaseema in Andhra Pradesh and Sidhu's family is from Kolkota (he has a Telugu father and Bengali mother). As babies, Madhu and Siddhu meet in a shopping complex. Madhu and her father love each other dearly. Madhu's father wants her to marry so that the son-in-law can stay with them and his daughter will not leave her. However, her groom elopes with his girlfriend, apologizing to Madhu that he did not want to ruin another girl's life. Siddhu receives a visa for higher studies in Canada and he takes off. In the drive to the airport, he has in a car accident. Incidentally, he receives Madhu's blood. Madhu's convinces her father to go for higher studies and not be bothered with marriage. Sidhu cannot make it to Canada and joins the same college as Madhu. Incidentally, they meet in a temple. They become good friends, while also helping Madhu's friend, Shanti, and Siddu's friend, Babu(Sivaji), who are in love. Shanti's father is a big goon, and Madhu and Siddhu ensure that Shanti and Babu do not reveal their love to Shanti's father and get into any trouble. One day while Madhu is studying for exams, Siddhu happens to come. Madhu's sari moves in the breeze, revealing her navel. Siddhu ogles it. Madhu accuses Siddhu of ogling, and Siddhu denies it. An argument breaks out leading to them accusing each other of hiding their feelings for the other. They end their friendship. After the summer holidays, Shanti's dad finds out about Babu. Madhu and Siddhu meet again for the sake of their friend's love. In the course of getting Babu and Shati together, they realize they love each other. The movie ends happily, with the duo married and happily squabbling.

This was Ramana Gogula's second time working with Pawan Kalyan. In 2004 Puri Jagannadh remade the film in hindi as Shart: The Challenge. Badri (Pawan Kalyan) is an ad agency director whose parents are settled in the USA. He has a love called Vennela (Renu Desai), who is a close family friend of Badri's family. Their parents want these two to tie the knot. Badri and Vennela are whiling away time, as Vennela did not finish her grads yet. On one of those romantic evenings, Vennela tells Badri that she loves him very much. But, at the same time, she does not find the same sincerity in Badri's love. She challenges him: No other girl on earth would probably love him more than she does. Badri, who gets carried away in arguments, takes up the challenge immediately. Vennela shows a beautiful girl coming out of the temple and asks him to approach that girl. Then Vennela goes to the US to spend time with Badri's parents. Badri gets the info of the new girl in no time and finds out that her name is Sarayu. She is a pampered-yet-docile sister of Nanda (Prakash Raj). After a few tries he is able to corner Sarayu to the extent that she expresses her love and puts forward a marriage proposal, for which Badri gives no response. Meantime, Vennela is back and can see the chemistry between Sarayu and Badri. She starts regretting the bet with Badri. Badri, too, is torn. Nanda, who is excessively fond of his sister Sarayu, guns for the blood of Badri, as he knows that Badri and Vennela are destined for marriage. As we head for a simple looking yet extremely gripping climax, we have a very heart-touching performance in store.

The film was later remade in Hindi as Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai starring Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. It was dubbed in Tamil as Aanandha Mazhai. This movie was mentioned in the 2006 Telugu movie Happy starring Allu Arjun and Genelia D'Souza. Balu (Pawan Kalyan) is the youngest son in his family and a careless guy. His father always scolds him, but his uncles and mother dote on him and so do his brothers. He has a bunch of friends (played by Ali, Venu Madhav and others) and hangs around with them. On one occasion, Balu's father is angry with him; Balu leaves the house to be left alone for a while (on the eve of Diwali). He chances to see Anu (Keerthi Reddy) on the road with some kids and he falls for her. She has returned from the USA to spend time with her grandfather (P.J. Sharma). Anu is impressed with Balu when he saves a kid's life on the motorway; she tries to get his autograph but fails. Balu leaves for Ooty for his studies and accidentally meets Anu on the way when his taxi breaks down. Anu gives Balu a lift and leaves her driver to help the taxi driver. While on the way, Anu's car slips into a valley due to a rash lorry driver. Balu makes an effort to save Anu and rescues her to safer ground. Trying to save Anu, Balu slips off into a valley. Anu is depressed that Balu sacrificed himself to save her, searches for him and loses hope. Balu is saved by a truck driver and admitted to a hospital. On his return, Anu meets Balu at his house to express her gratitude. Balu thinks of proposing his love but is warned by his sister (Munny). Balu develops a friendship with Anu but never dares to express his love. Vasuki gets married and leaves. At the same time, Anu gets admission into Harvard University (USA) and is about to leave. They remain silent until they reach the airport. Just before Anu leaves, she realizes that she would miss him and they agree to meet after realizing their goals.
