Athidhi

Athidhi (Telugu: అతిథి ; English: Guest) is a 2007 Telugu film starring Mahesh Babu and Amrita Rao, directed by Surender Reddy and produced by G. Ramesh Babu, brother of Mahesh Babu under their banner Krishna Pictures Private Limited. It was released on 18 October 2007. It was dubbed into Tamil as Thani Kaattu Raja, and into Hindi as International Khiladi:The Iron Man.

STORY

An orphan boy, named Sunil, wanders through all of Delhi looking for a job. When selling balloons, he sees a girl and gives her a free balloon. A few days later, during a storm, the girl finds the boy getting soaked and gives him an umbrella. The umbrella blows into a place nearby, where the girls parents are headed. The boy stops their car and indicates them about the dangerous path ahead destroyed by the storm. As the boy rescues the girl's parents, the boy gets adopted by the parents. They name the boy "Athidhi" which means "guest". One day, while driving Athidhi to a hostel, they are stopped by an aspiring cop named Kaiser, a Psychopath, who mugs them, and shoots the parents. In his rage, Athidhi lunges after the teen managing to take the teen's gun. Nearby witnesses see Athidhi with a gun and the girl's parents and think that Athidhi killed them. The police come and arrest Athidhi. The girl also thinks that it was Athidhi who killed her parents and starts to hate him and thinks that she will never see him again.
Thirteen years later, Athidhi (now Mahesh Babu) gets out of jail, and is now in search of the Psychopath, teen who has killed the girl's parents and the girl. In Delhi, local goons are feared by Athidhi, as he becomes a hurdle for their illegal operation. At one instance, he runs across a girl named Amrita (Amrita Rao) chased by stalkers from her college. Amrita and Athidhi meet many times. Amrita starts to like Athidhi, but has to go back to Hyderabad before she can confess her love. When she goes to try tell him that she is leaving Athidhi gets annoyed. He continuously tells her to leave him alone, when she keeps asking to get some coffee and slaps her. She runs away crying. Later Athidhi goes to Amrita to say sorry but only finds her friend. She tells him that Amrita just wanted to tell him that she's leaving. They then go to the cemetery seeing if she is there. Amrita's friend then explains that a boy named Athidhi killed Amrita's parents when she was young and Amrita goes to the cemetery to see their graves all the time. Athidhi then finds out that she was the same girl that he met in his childhood and leaves for Hyderabad to find her.
When Athidhi also arrives to Hyderabad, and decides to stay with Amrita's family, he learns that a Mafia leader and kidnapper named Kaiser is feared there. Later, after few events, Athidhi realizes that Kaiser was the psychopath teen who killed the girl's parents. Now Kaiser is trying to kill Amrita. Athidhi stops two attempts by Kaiser to murder Amrita. Meanwhile, Officer Ajay (Murali Sharma) is trying to track down Kaiser. Ajay dies in an explosion in his house, which was planned by Kaiser. Athidhi figures out later on that Ajay is none other than Kaiser. Ajay's real name is Kaiser. Before Kaiser's house blew up, Kaiser managed to escape. When the MLA realizes that Ajay's real name is Kaiser, the MLA, after succumbing to shock, dies with a heart attack. Athidhi manages to kill one of Kaiser's men. Kaiser then kidnaps Amrita and her cousin. Kaiser kills Amrita's cousin. Then Kaiser leads Amrita to a dungeon and calls Athidi and tells him that he will kill Amrita if Athidhi doesn't rescue her in 12 hours. Then Athidi kidnaps his brother, and trades for Amrita. Amrita is severely cut and stuck in a certain air tank (Kaiser planned), but is rescued. Kaiser is killed. Athidi and Amrita unite, realising he wasn't the one who killed her parents.

Sukumar's Untitled Project

Sukumar's Untitled Project is an upcoming Telugu film written and directed by Sukumar. The film is produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara under their banner 14 Reels Entertainment. It stars Mahesh Babu and Kajal Aggarwal in their second film together after Business Man. The soundtrack will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who will be working with Sukumar for the fifth time in his career. The film will have cinematography handled by Rathnavelu who had earlier worked with Sukumar for Arya and Jagadam. The film was officially launched on 12 February 2012 at 14 Reels Entertainment office in Hyderabad. Filming began on 23 April 2012 and it was announced that the film would release in the Sankranti weekend of 2013

Dookudu

Dookudu (Daring & Dashing) is a 2011 Telugu action comedy film directed by Srinu Vaitla and distributed by 14 Reels Entertainment. The ensemble cast, stars Mahesh Babu and Samantha. The film was released on September 23, 2011, with the largest worldwide opening for a Telugu film. Opening to generally positive reviews, the Los Angeles Times quoted 'Dookudu' as "the biggest hit you've never heard of." The film set a box office record for the Telugu film industry by collecting a gross of more than INR1 billion and became an all time record film

STORY

Shankar Narayana (Prakash Raj) is a politician driven by idealistic values and a sense of social service. His followers are his brother (Rajiv Kanakala), and supporters (Sayaji Shinde and Supreet). The people of Shankar's constituency elect him as an M.L.A. during the political realm of the late N. T. Rama Rao. Although Shankar is an ardent follower of NTR, he does not wish to join NTR's party, and establishes his own independent political empire. Shankar's dream is to see his son as a politician revered by people. During this time, Shankar meets with a fatal accident.
Years later, Shankar's son Ajay Kumar (Mahesh Babu) is a daring super-cop in Mumbai. He is on a mission to apprehend mafia don Nayak (Sonu Sood), who is involved in illegal drug trade, extortion and arms trafficking. It is later revealed that Shankar actually survived the accident but ended up in a state of coma. However, this truth is hidden by Shankar's family from the people. Ajay maintains a low profile to catch Nayak. In an undercover operation in Istanbul, Ajay gets hold of Nayak's brother, Bunty (Ajaz Khan). Later, it is revealed that corrupt opposition leader Mallesh Yadav (Kota Srinivasa Rao), who is also tied up with Nayak, was the mastermind behind Shankar's accident, and had planned to derail Shankar's political empire.
Ajay falls in love with Prashanthi (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), who he meets in Istanbul during his operation. Prashanthi is the daughter of Ajay's boss (Nassar), a cop who reports to the police commissioner (Suman) in Hyderabad city. When Ajay's dad comes out of the coma, doctors advise his family that Shankar is at risk if he encounters or hears anything upsetting, disturbing or shocking. Ajay hides the events surrounding his dad's accident. Ajay shifts his family to his dad's previously abandoned mansion, which is now being used for filmmaking.
Ajay creates a dummy political set-up at this mansion. In the guise of a reality television program, Ajay tricks an aspiring but unsuccessful film actor Padmasree (Brahmanandam), by making him believe that the television show is being sponsored by film star Nagarjuna Akkineni's television channel, and that Nagarjuna wants to offer Padmasree very high remuneration for his realistic performance in the show. On the other hand, an aspiring actor Bokka (M. S. Narayana) is also tricked by Ajay. Ajay also tricks Mallesh Yadav with a real estate business deal, to exploit Mallesh Yadav's criminal nexus. Ajay keeps this drama under wraps from Shankar, by making Shankar believe that Ajay is now an M.L.A. revered by people fulfilling his dad's wishes. He also marries his love, Prashanthi, to make his father happy. The rest of the plot reveals the politician-criminal nexus behind Shankar's accident, the comic misadventures which lead to Shankar knowing the truth, and Ajay's retaliation to Nayak and Mallesh Yadav's political corruption. In the end, Ajay's betallion and himself reach the farmhouse, or the jungle, where the fight happens...He retrieves the life of the right-hand of Nayak, and soon barges into the farm house, traps Shayaji Shinde, who will plead for life, but will be killed from behind by Nayak, and as Ajay rushes out to capture the villain, he runs through the thick dense forest and kicks up a wooden blaze fired stick, and thrashes the bad guy's face, which froms a breath taking climax scene with lots of immense action..Nayak and Ajay get physical towards the end, and Ajay defeats Nayak, by saying, his berth is confirmed and is killed by Shankar anna ironically.

Business Man

Business Man (Telugu: బిజినెస్ మాన్) is a Telugu crime film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. It stars Mahesh Babu and Kajal Agarwal in the lead role. Produced by R. R. Venkat and distributed by R. R. Movie Makers, the film was dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam. It was released on January 13, 2012 in Telugu and turned out to be a Blockbuster.The film set a box office record for the Telugu film industry by collecting a gross of more than INR1 billion after Dookudu.

 STORY

At a time when Mumbai Police, headed by Police Commissioner (Nasser), announce that the much dreaded Mafia Raj is completely wiped out in the city, and there are no under world Bhai’s in Mumbai, a rookie named Surya (Mahesh Babu) lands in the country’s commercial capital with an intention to become a Mafia Don. His friend, Brahmaji receives him and brings him to Dharavi. He offers him shelter and tells him that he would soon fetch him a job so that he can settle down in life. But Surya wants to carve an identity for himself, by reorganizing Mumbai's Mafia Raj and eventually rule Mumbai. He then mocks as a cop and gets his first bounty and then he forms a gang of his own. Surya meets up with a local politician Laalu (Sayaji Shinde) who is in trouble and offers him help. Surya begins recruiting criminals and gangsters in Mumbai and starts to extort people for money. He slowly gains momentum and in the process becomes popular and feared among the people.
Meanwhile, he also knowingly tries to get romantically involved with Chitra (Kajal Agarwal), daughter of the police commissioner. In the process, he actually falls for the girl and tries for her acceptance. In the course of the film, Surya become popular among Dharavi's locals. He comes across as an extortionist, a baron, a philanthropist and an entrepreneur. His friendship with Laalu gets stronger and so does his political connections. Surya sets up a company named Surya Exports & Imports which would act as a front for the organized crime that they indulge in. Surya reveals his plan to grow his network of organized crime all over India. He begins to set up branch offices for Surya Exports & Imports in all major cities, towns and villages all over India. He recruits local gangsters for staff and begins to forcefully collect two percent tax on every contract done in that area. Eventually Surya grows to be a billionaire and later reveals to the police commissioner that he never wanted money but only power. He claims that he believes in war but not morality and that the crime rate dropped significantly after he started to recruit all the gangsters. He also states that he wants to rid India of crime and help the needy.
Surya also helps Laalu to become the Mayor of Mumbai by defeating Arun Ghokle (Rajeev Mehta) who is backed up by Jai Dev (Prakash Raj), a powerful national politician. Eventually Arun Ghokle goes against Jai Dev and talks to the police about Jai Dev's illegal activities. Jai Dev kills the police commissioner and Chitra becomes devastated by it. Surya reveals to her that he was an American born Indian who looses his philanthropist Non-resident Indian father at an early age. His parents were the victims of Political corruption and were cheated and killed by Jai Dev. This incident and the attitude of people towards an orphan while growing up made him hate the society.
In his pursuit of power and achieving his goal of getting India rid of crime he shifts his attention towards the upcoming Indian parliament elections. He with the help of Laalu meets up with Guru Govind Patel (Raza Murad), head of the opposition party. He makes a deal with him and offers him INR35000 crores for election campaigning and also promises him that he would make him the prime minister of India. Surya uses the money and starts to make an impact on the elections. He spends millions on every constituency in India and also makes Jai Dev unable to contest in the elections. After knowing that Jai dev has kidnapped Chitra to seek revenge on him, he fights of the Jai Dev's goons and eventually kills him and saves Chitra. It is shown at the end that he had successfully installed Guru Govind Patel as the prime minister of India and is seen with Chitra, who accepts his love.

Pokiri

Pokiri (Telugu: పోకిరి, English: Rogue) is a 2006 Indian Telugu film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh starring Mahesh Babu and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead roles. Prakash Raj, Sayaji Shinde, and Ashish Vidyarthi play supporting roles. The film is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh (Vaishno Academy) and Mahesh Babu's sister Manjula Ghattamaneni (Indira Productions).
The film was released on 28 April 2006. After the film's impact on commercial cinema, the film was remade in multiple languages, in Tamil as Pokkiri (2007) directed by Prabhu Deva and in Hindi cinema as Wanted (2009). It was again remade in Kannada cinema as Porki (2010). The film was screened at the IIFA film festival held in Dubai in 2006. The film ultimately claimed to be the highest-grossing Telugu film of its time after its theatrical run

STORY

The city of Hyderabad is rife with the nefarious activities of land mafia. There are two rival gangs; one under Ali Bhai (Prakash Raj) who resides in Dubai and controls the operation through his siblings Ajju and Mona, and another operated by local goon Narayan. Both threaten builders and land owners into giving them protection money or property, through force, extortion or murder. Sayed (Sayaji Shinde) arrives as the new Commissioner of Hyderabad and starts cracking down on crime.
Pandu (Mahesh Babu), a thug, is abducted by Mallesh, a member of Ali's gang and his henchmen. Pandu has taken a contract from Narayan to beat up Mallesh, which he does. Ajju invites Pandu to join Ali Bhai's gang. Pandu declines stating that he does not work for any gang, but is ready to do anything given enough money. Pandu falls in love with Shruthi when he visits his cousin's (Ajay) aerobics class, but she mistakes him for a thug. Shruthi, a college student, lives with her widowed mother and younger brother. Bramhi (Brahmanandam) lives above Shruthi's house, and frequently tries to convince Shruthi to marry him. Sub inspector Pashupathy (Ashish Vidyarthi), is a corrupt officer in the colony where Pandu and Shruthi live who often works with the land mafia. He is also on the payroll of Ali Bhai. He falls for Shruthi and decides to make her his mistress, even after multiple rejections by Shruthi.
Pandu's first assignment with Ali's gang is to kill a member of Narayan's band. However, police show up at the spot where Pandu and the other gangsters are waiting. Pandu engages the cops long enough for the others to finish the task and flee. He also helps Shruthi escape from Pashupathy. She is impressed by his kindness and friendship soon blossoms between the two, leading to the development of unspoken romantic feelings for each other. When Shruthi tries to expresses her feelings they are attacked by members of Narayan's gang, whom Pandu finishes off. Shruthi is shocked to learn that Pandu is a gangster with no qualms about killing people.
Pashupathy arranges for some thugs to pretend to rape Shruthi, so that no decent family will want to take her as their daughter-in-law; with no other option Shruthi and her mother will accept his demands. Pandu learns of this and assaults Pashupathy incognito, warning him that if he is found responsible for this incident then things will turn ugly for him. After much ado and mental anguish, Shruthi accepts Pandu.
Ali Bhai comes to Hyderabad and kills Narayan. He also meets Pandu to discuss the killing of a minister by blowing up a balloon. Pandu disagrees with Ali Bhai's method as it would involve killing innocents. In the middle of their argument police raid the club and arrest Ali Bhai. His gang members retaliate by creating a lewd video of the police commissioner's daughter and releasing it to media. They also kidnap her, forcing the police to release Ali Bhai. Ali Bhai drugs the commissioner's daughter, causing her to reveal that her father placed a mole in Ali Bhai's gang. They find that Pandu's friends father Suryanarayan was a police inspector and the inspector's son, Krishna, is now a part of Pandu's gang. Ali Bhai kills Krishna in front of Suryanaraya. However, it is revealed that the person who died was actually Ajay. The actual son of the retired inspector is Pandu whose real name is Krishna Manohar. His father explains that Krishna was a Gold Medalist,of IPS Batch No 57 and has been masquerading as a corrupt mafia to penetrate the underworld gangs and wipe them out from the inside by being an Undercover agent. Ali Bhai kills Suryanaraya and goes away
Later Shruthi, Ali Bhai and his gang get to that Krishna Manohar is Pandu.
Krishna Manohar then avenges his father's death by finishing off all members of Ali Bhai's gang including Ali Bhai and Pasupathy and saves Commissioners daughter.

Naani

Naani (Telugu: నాని) is a Telugu film released ON May 14, 2004. Directed by S. J. Suryaah, the film stars Mahesh Babu, Amisha Patel, Devayani and Raghuvaran. The film was simultaneously made in Tamil as New.

STORY

After feeling that he is being repeatedly humiliated and unwanted by his mother and brother, eight year old Naani goes to a Scientist who turns him into a 28 year old man. As an adult, he works in a Toy Company and is pursued by Priya (Amisha Patel), daughter of his superior. He gets married to her and has a child. His mother Devayani starts looking for him and lodges a complaint in police station that her son is missing. Naani learns of his mother's love for him and asks the scientist to turn him back into a child. But the scientist's reverse process does not work and he ends being an eight year old with his mother during the day and as an adult as Priya's husband at night.

Khaleja

Mahesh Khaleja (Telugu: మహేశ్ ఖలేజా) is a 2010 action comedy Telugu film starring Mahesh Babu and Anushka Shetty directed by Trivikram Srinivas. It is the second collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Trivikram. Singanamala Ramesh and C Kalyan produced the film as a Kanaka Ratna Movies production. Mahesh Babu plays the role of a cab driver in the film, while Prakash Raj plays a negative role. Sunil and Brahmanandam play key roles. The film was released on 7 October 2010. It won two Filmfare South awards under the categories of Best Male Playback Singer and Best Lyricist.
The film was dubbed in Tamil as Badhra.
This film is loosely inspired from the Amish Tripathi's novel "The Immortals of Meluha". STORY
The story revolves around a remote village in Andhra Pradesh plagued by a strange disease that is killing a lot of people. The soothsayer of the village predicts that God will come to their village to rescue them. Meanwhile, Raju (Mahesh Babu), a cab driver in Hyderabad, goes to Rajasthan to deliver an insurance cheque to the family of a man who died in his car. Raju meets a man from the afflicted village and gets to know about their problem. Raju takes up the responsibility to help the village. MUSIC

Athadu

Athadu (Telugu: అతడు) is a 2005 Telugu film produced by RamMohan.M and D.Kishore and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The movie stars Mahesh Babu, Trisha Krishnan, Sonu Sood, Nassar and Prakash Raj. The movie soundtrack was scored by Mani Sharma. The film released on 10 August 2005. The film went on to become one of the highest grossing films in Tollywood. But this film story line is loosely based on 1988 Telugu movie Varasudochhadu starring Venkatesh. The movie was dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam languages as Nandhu and Target respectively. Athadu has also been remade in Hindi as Ek The Power of One and in Bengali as Wanted.
Nanda Gopal /Nandu (Mahesh Babu) is a professional assassin, and Malli (Sonu Sood) is his partner. They charge Rs. 1.5 crore per assassination.
A party leader, Shiva Reddy (Sayaji Shinde), wants someone to attempt an assassination on him so that he can get more sympathy votes in the upcoming election. Shiva Reddy's colleague Baji Reddy(Kota Srinivasa Rao) hooks him up with Nandu for a deal. However, before Nandu can shoot Shiva Reddy, someone else fatally shoots him. Within minutes, police surround the building. Just before the exit of the building, a big car accident occurs on the street with Nandu's car. Nandu assumes that Malli got trapped and died in the accident. So Nandu goes to the top of the skyscraper. With the police behind him and in front of him, he is helpless. Suddenly a train comes and Nandu uses a rope to jump from the skyscraper to the train.
On the train, Nandu meets Pardhu (Rajiv Kanakala). Pardhu reveals that he ran away from his village, Basarlapudi, when he was young. Pardhu explains that he is finally returning to his village. Later that same evening, while aiming for Nandu, the police accidentally shoot Pardhu. Nandu escapes and decided to go to Basarlapudi. Thinking that Nandu is Pardhu, Pardhu's family accepts Nandu into their family.
Meanwhile, a CBI officer, Anjaneya Prasad (Prakash Raj), investigating the murder of Shiva Reddy comes across Nandu alias Pardhu. He suspects Nandu of Shiva Reddy's murder.He tries taking Nandu's fingerprints unconventionally but Nandu outsmarts him. Soon clues lead to Malli but he is dead.
Meanwhile, in Barslapudi, after the marriage of the grand-daughter was over, the CBI come because they find out that Nandu is not Pardhu and suspect that Nandu is the killer. Nandu learns of the situation and flees. After the CBI leave, Nandu returns to explain everything: who is he and how the real Pardhu got killed. At first the family shows no interest in helping Nandu to find the real assassin as they are all shocked but the grandfather (Nassar) helps Nandu by giving him a gun. Nandu calls Baji Reddy and demands to know who killed Shiva Reddy. At first, Baji Reddy refuses but after Nandu tells him that he recorded their first conservation on the phone, Baji Reddy reveals everything. It was Malli who killed Shiva Reddy for 2 crores. He faked his death by sending a drunkard in the car at the time of the accident. Nandu records this conversation and immediately leaves for the old church, where Malli is. Nandu and Malli meet and Nandu has the gun loaded before Malli. But the same policemen who killed Pardhu barge in. Nandu manages to kill all of them and also kill Malli. Nandu hands over the recorded cassette to the CBI officer. The CBI officer goes directly to Bajji Reddy's office and tells him that he will hand him over to the police. Baji Reddy tells him that he has no concrete evidence. The CBI officer tells him that the tape is evidence enough for Siva Reddy's hot headed son,who has vowed vengeance for his father's death.Trapped without any recourse,Baji Reddy commits suicide. In the last scene, Nandu immerses Pardhu's ashes and the CBI officer lets him go to Pardhu's real family, where he plans to stay forever.
